The colors give the feel of looking at the moon through the smoke of a forest fire... and we've had a few of those out west here.

Quite amazing. I wish I could see a moon this large at least once in my lifetime. I know about the atmosphere vs brain theory, but I would still be enchanted by the real thing as I am by this illustration.
